ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that Senator Saxby Chambliss and Senator Johnny Isakson have endorsed John McCain for president.
"I have known John McCain for many years," said Georgia's senior U.S. Senator, Saxby Chambliss. "We have worked together, and from time to time, we have had some disagreements over policy. The willingness to disagree is what good leadership is about. John McCain is a strong-willed man, but he listens. Throughout the course of this election process we have had a number of good men vying for the Republican nomination, but now is the time for us to narrow the field and get behind the one candidate who can unite our party and win in November. John McCain can and will win in November, no matter which person the Democrats nominate. America is at war, and the ongoing war on terrorism will be a major factor in this presidential election as well as in the next president's term. I am here to tell all Georgians and all Americans that based on all the factors and qualifications, I for one will be proud to call John McCain commander in chief."
Senator Isakson added, "The most important duty of the president and the Congress is to protect the people of the United States of America. I don't believe there is anybody better equipped to keep America secure than John McCain. Not only is John McCain the right choice to protect our country, but he also is the right choice to protect our pocketbook. John McCain was a fiscal hawk before it became popular. He has always been for stopping wasteful spending, and as president he will be able to do so with his pen."
John McCain thanked Senators Chambliss and Isakson for their support, saying, "During my time in the senate, I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Saxby and Johnny. They are both men of tremendous character. Their hard work on behalf of the people of Georgia has earned them the admiration and respect of their colleagues and constituents. I am honored to have their support, and I look forward to their counsel in the days and weeks ahead."

Interesting how the style of this page resembles Right Wing Liberal.
Now I understand what that pseudo means.. It means John McPain... Right Wing Liberal....
I suppose you are of the Ann Coulter school who would rather campaign for Hillary Clinton than the GOP Nominee. To each his or her own, but I would not be the sell out in that case. I plan to support our nominee. Clearly you haven't a clue as I don't even know what you are talking about. Good luck with your support of Mittens.
Oh, I support Huckabee on Duncan Hunter's advice, but I'll switch to Mitt is a heartbeat if that stops mcPain...
Here's the bottom line, if America is going to adopt liberal policies and put liberals on the SCOTUS, than let Democrats do the honors...
Well Duncan Hunter, who I have met, said Mitt is full of it and said that he did support secret timetables in April of 07, so you probably won't hear marching orders from Duncan Hunter to support Romney. Huckabee will be out soon enough. Unclear if Huckabee will win anything beyong Arkansas. You still didn't respond as to how McCain is liberal on issues like second amendment when Hillary would ban guns except for state militias. How is McCain liberal on abortion, when he is pro-life and Obama would allow partial birth abortion & abortion on demand? How is McCain liberal when he said he would make the Bush tax cuts permanent and cut taxes, when both Hillary and Obama would raise taxes next year? It doesn't make any sense? Unless the nominee is 100% up to your snuff you would rather send us back 20 years to the days of LBJ and Jimmy Carter?
